SilentHeroes outlives BF1942 Master Server

Since a day or two the BF1942 Master Server is down. Possibly taken down by EA since they don't want to support the game anymore. (This is the reason people also complain about online-verified DRM's...) This makes it very hard (impossible) to find servers online from within the BF1942 client as the internet-tab will not work at all since the client cannot be verified to be using a legal key. One way around this for now is to directly connect to a server you want to play against - just how a gamelauncher like AllSeeing Eye worked when it was still being developed. The Master Server only was a few days down. After then we play like before. And the SH Events and other Mod Events run like before. Its no different. |
