TRT Meraker Day 1 and Day 2 (official link) |
|
----------------------------------------------------
TRT Digital Cartography
in association with
5th Norwegian Fleet and Special Ops Unit
presents
----------------------------------------------------
TRT MERAKER
A "Silent Heroes" map by Pulaski and Ottasen
v. 1.1
----------------------------------------------------
The Swedish armed forces have crossed the border at Meraker. Their targets are Trondheim and Trøndelag. A major tank battle is about to take place as the two forces collide head on.
The Swedes took over a small factory area and are using it as their base of operations. The Norwegian Air Base at Meraker has recently been reinforced by a company of Leopard 2 tanks and is on full alert and moving out.
May the best tankers win.
From the guys that brought you TRT Finnskogen comes TRT Meraker, a tank-battle map galore.
This is primarely a tank battle map. Fog settings are high, majority of the terrain is flat, open fields, there are plenty of places to hide and setup ambushes.
Equipment:
Ground:
Six (6) MBTs per side (Leo2 on both sides)
Four (4) APCs per side
Three (3) LAVs per side
One (1) GP per side
Air:
Two (2) Attack Helos per side
Support:
Norway: Gepard at main base
Sweden: grkpbv90120 at main base
Map Notes:
The Village flag spawns a Leo1 for Norway and/or strf90120 for Sweden. The other flags spawn nothing.
Ammo boxes are few and far between, watch your ammo count. Health cabinets are hard to come by as well, so don't get shot without a reason.
Don't look for flag poles. The only way you'll know you're capping a flag is by the visual indicator in-game.
There is blood painted by vehicle wrecks, might be too graphic for some players.
Release 1.1 change log
- added an extra re-arm point for Swedish helo at main base
- fixed the collision mesh on the fences (Thanks AndroX)

TRT MERAKER DAY 2
A "Silent Heroes" map by
Ottasen, Steiner and Pulaski
v. 1.0
----------------------------------------------------
Things are going badly for the Swedes. The Norwegian resistance in the Meraker area turned out to be much stiffer than anticipated. Heavy fighting did not yield significant gains as the Norwegians held their ground.
It is day two. Air forces of both nations have been mauled badly and were withdrawn. With the skies clear of danger, the tankers look to the ground for pure armor vs armor combat. Now, it is truly a tank battle.
Equipment:
Ground:
Six (6) MBTs per side (Leo2 on both sides)
Four (4) APCs per side
Three (3) LAVs per side
Two (2) GP per side
Air:
none
Support:
none
Map Notes:
New control point, The Sawmill, added in Foxtrot Six (F6) at the eastern edge of the Forest. The Village flag spawns nothing. All surrounding outposts spawn one light armor and at least one GP. To get the bleed, you must control the Village and any two of the other flags. If you do not hold the Village, you will not have the bleed, even if you hold all of the other control points.

Hot on the heels of the TRT Finnskogen BF2-redesign comes:
TRT Kaluga
also known as:
TRT Meraker
as done by Ottasen, Steiner and Pulaski soon to be redesigned for BF2.
Here are screenshots of the Swedish main base, which becomes the USMC/NATO main base in BF2.
Tank whores rejoice!

I might be daft as a brick, but I didn't see any SH-models in those pictures.

And if it was a LEO, we have our own Leo2-A6 model.

We're delayed... damned Editor... so many problems, so much frustration, so many wasted hours... sigh....
We're not putting a delivery date on this one, there are just too many problems at this point.
